Watford FC stars launch Starlight Walk |

 Players from Watford FC took time out of training yesterday to help launch this year’s Starlight Walk. The annual all female event organised by the Peace Hospice will be taking place at midnight on Saturday 13th June, starting outside the Colosseum in Watford.
The Starlight Walk saw 1,200 women take to the streets last year, helping to raise over £220,000 for the Hospice. The walkers undertake a 13 mile course through the high street in Watford, Bushey, Rickmansworth, Croxley Green and back into Watford.
Event organiser Gill Crowson said ‘The Starlight Walk is now in its third year and it just keeps getting bigger. We are delighted that Watford football club are supporting the event this year and to mark the partnership, all of our female walkers will be wearing bright yellow t-shirts on the night’.
She added ‘The atmosphere on the night is always fantastic amongst the walkers. It’s amazing watching over 1,000 women setting out in force, heading down the high street at midnight. We are hoping that lots of people sign up again for the walk this year and show their support to the Hospice’.
