Dress down day lifts 'January Blues'! |
| Friday, 06 February 2009 |
24 companies failed to let the cold weather or recession get in the way of them taking part in Dress Down Day recently.
Allied Irish Bank, Lloyds TSB, The Harlequin, Natwest Bank, Wenta and Arriva were just some of the companies who took part, helping to raise money for the Peace Hospice.
Captain America, Tinky Winky, a Beefeater and Cowboys and Indians were just a few of the outfits worn at the event which took place on Friday 30th January.
The Hospice’s Corporate Development Manager, Maggie Grand said ‘It was great to see so many companies take part on a cold Friday. It’s always great to see so many companies relax their dress code on this one day of the year to help their local Hospice.
I would like to thank everyone who took part and to our sponsors SA Law and Kall Kwik’.
The Head of Marketing Julie Gingell at SA Law said ‘We’re delighted to be continuing our sponsorship of this annual event along with Kall Kwik and are pleased to see it go from strength to strength with more companies joining in the fun and supporting the Peace Hospice’.
Some staff at the Hospice also took part in the day and dressed up in tartan.
The next Hospice fundraising event to take place is a Chicago Bridge Drive event, taking place on Wednesday 25th February. Further details are available from Bobbie Brown on 01923 225265. |
