An alternative wedding gift |

 Hazel Izzett, a member of the Marketing team at Yorkshire Building Society put in a special request to her colleagues at the Society prior to her wedding this spring.
Instead of requesting traditional gifts, she asked that donations were instead made to the Peace Hospice.
The donations received were topped up by the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation and a total of twelve LCD/DVD televisions were purchased for the inpatient rooms at the Hospice.
Hazel commented, “My Grandmother in law spent the last period of her life in the Peace Hospice. She was so well looked after that we decided that we wanted to help in some way. The current televisions were old analogue sets so it made sense to upgrade them to new digital models.” |
