The Peace Hospice has been joined by Art & Design students from West Herts College to design a stunning back-drop for the Hospiceís Strictly Come Hospice event on Friday 22 February.
The students have worked tirelessly to produce scenery, film animations and sets which will be used to dress the stage at the competitionís Grand Finale being held at the Colosseum.
Debbie Crooks, Art & Design tutor at the college said: 'Its been a fabulous opportunity for students to work on a live brief. They have responded really well with spectacular results and its been great to support the Hospice at the same time. I canít wait to see their work up on stage being enjoyed by the audience.'
This is the sixth Strictly Come Hospice show staged by the Peace Hospice and will features 14 amateur couples performing a rumba or salsa routine for a panel of guest judges. The audience will also be entertained by displays from ballroom professionals, Latin American folk groups and local community choir sensation, Rock Chorus.
Hospice Event manager Peter Watson said 'We are grateful for the support of West Herts College on this project as it will really add to this great event. Our couples are practicing hard for Strictly Come Hospice and it's going to be another fantastic evening. The Hospice needs to raise £4 million this year in charitable income so that we can continue to provide our services for free to patients and their families from across South West Herts I hope that the community will support this fantastic event.'
