There is an exciting opportunity to join the Board of a new homecare company – Shine Homecare based in Watford – as a non-executive director (a voluntary position) and at the same time to help raise vital funds for three fantastic local charities including The Peace Hospice, The Hospice of St Francis and Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care.
Shine Homecare is a new high quality Care Agency which offers a wide range of personal care services to clients at home.
This new service helps people live at home as independently as possible with the support of healthcare workers. The care is available either short or long term and can vary between personal care, to companionship, to help getting to appointments or trips out and about. Shine Homecare is a pay for service which aims not only to provide quality care but also to generate profits which will be reinvested into more free care for our Hospice patients.
Shine Homecare operates in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire and is a joint venture – the first of its kind -established last year by the three hospices. The hospices have a combined heritage of nearly 100 years of caring for people in our local communities and all Shine’s care workers are trained by the hospices to the highest standards. All profits are used to provide more free care for hospice patients.
David Ellis OBE, Chair of Shine Homecare and of the Peace Hospice said 'This is a fantastic opportunity to make a huge difference to Shine Homecare and at the same time three local charities. The Shine Board is looking for two non-executive directors, one with sound current or recent knowledge of the homecare sector, and another with senior financial expertise. The right candidates would play a significant part in ensuring Shine’s success. In turn, this would generate profits which will be used to fund more free hospice care.'
All our non-executive directors are volunteers and generously give their time.
If you might be interested in becoming a non-executive director, please contact Judeth Neville on 01442 869556 or email her
Suitable candidates will be invited for a confidential, no-obligation discussion about the role.
