Unlucky Golfers raise £2k+ |

 Members and guests at Aldenham Golf and Country Club have, over the past 12 months, raised just over £2000 through donations to the 2009 Ladies and Mens Captains choosen charity fund - the Peace Hospice.
Mens Captain, Bryan Makinson and Lady Captain Mary Dearing asked golfers to donate 50p each time their ball either, hit the large oak tree, which stands in the middle of the fairway on the par 5, fifth hole, or ended up in either of the bunkers guarding the entrance to the par 3, sixth hole. 
Aldenham Golf and Country Club will be the venue for a Charity Golf Day, organised by the Watford & West Herts Chamber of Commerce and Wenta (Watford Enterprise Agency). This event, in aid of the Peace Hospice, is to held on Wednesday 12th May 2010. Details of the day can be found "here".
