Hospice volunteers gather for Summer Party |

 More than 100 volunteers came to our annual Volunteers Celebration on July 10th. This was an opportunity to thank the amazing number and range of people who give the Hospice their time and talents.
Kerry had laid on a wonderful fork buffet of summer food and staff had contributed to a mouth watering selection of desserts. Fruit punch and wine was served in the courtyard garden and the Day Room had been decorated.
Raffle tickets sold like hot cakes, all the proceeds going to Hospice funds.
David Plank, Vice-Chair of Trustees, thanked all the volunteers for their efforts throughout the year and presented long service awards to volunteers from many different departments.
He said ‘This event would not have happened at all but for the hard work of a number of different people both in planning and preparation and on the day itself. Thank you very much indeed to everyone who contributed in any way’.
