Our annual Lights of Love ceremony will be held in the Peace Hospice grounds at 8.00pm. This event has become an important date in many people’s diaries.
The Christmas season is a very poignant time of year, and memories of loved ones who are no longer with us stir our hearts. This evening is an opportunity to remember them in a special way by dedicating a light on our tree in their memory. The event includes switching on the tree lights, carol singing, poetry reading and a moment of quiet personal reflection.
Although many lights will have been dedicated to those who spent time in our care, Lights of Love is not just for Peace Hospice users, it is for the community as a whole.
Memory Trees, specifically for children and young people, will again be available. Messages can be written on tags, which will be available from the Hospice Reception or any of our Hospice shops, and then tied to the trees prior to Lights of Love or brought along on the evening.
Refreshments will be available at the Colosseum after the service, where dedication pages will be on display. Also available will be a wide range of festive merchandise and Christmas cards sold to raise much needed funds for the Peace Hospice.
Please note there is no parking available at the Hospice. The nearest public car parks are Gade which is situated in Rosslyn Road or The Avenue, situated on the roundabout at the junction of The Avenue and Hempstead Road. We shall also have use of the Peace Children's Centre car park; access through Peace Prospect.
